It’s hard to argue against Corporate Social Responsibility. It’s like being against motherhood or disliking small furry animals. I don’t have a problem with the concept, just the delivery. I always feel a little put out when I have to drag my two left feet to another dinner dance organised by the charity supported by our managing director. It’s not much better when I sponsor my workmates for their charity run, bike ride, triathlon or pier to pub swim. I have a vague feeling of either being obligated to attend or that I am not doing enough to contribute.
